Gimel talks to the people and systems around the plant.

Many doors, one desk.

Orders reach Gimel through the order desk, the customer portal and SAP. Results leave through shipping, invoices and the API.

Shipping & tracking.

Shipping starts where production ends: once all parts of an internal order are cut, they still have to be sorted, packed and sent.

Group orders, create packages and print the shipping label. The label is a packing list that shows what goes into which package, sorted by order number rather than by internal order, because an internal order changes when work is cancelled and reassigned and the order number stays.

For UPS shipments, Gimel asks the UPS Track API for the current status, updates the shipment and writes the audit trail. It connects with your own UPS account. Where UPS is not set up, tracking simply does not appear, and shipping carries on.

Invoicing.

Invoices as PDF, and as a structured EN 16931 core invoice.

The accounting module issues the invoice as PDF. The structured invoice (EN 16931, UBL 2.1, XML) is available for download once it has been issued.

Gimel issues the EN 16931 core format for domestic invoicing. XRechnung and Peppol transport are not part of it, and a profile for a particular recipient needs external validation. Need a specific e-invoicing channel? Please ask us first.
